Which account type should I choose?

  • Updated

Individual - an individual account is for a person who is working in his or her own name, without a registered business entity. If you have only one tax ID number, most likely you should select an individual account.

Single owner company - this is generally a single owner business, typically with one employee - you.  If you have registered as a company (for example, as an MEI, ME or LTDA in Brazil, or as micro empresa in Mexico) and the government has given your company its own tax identification number, then most likely should choose a single owner company.

Multi-owner - you should select multi-owner if you work for a small company that has more than one beneficial owner that owns 25% or more of the company.

IN ADDITION PLEASE NOTE: The account category you choose should match the account category that you plan to withdraw your payments to. If the Higlobe account registration does not match your bank account registration, you will not be able to make withdrawals.

For example, Higlobe individual accounts cannot be used to withdraw funds to a business bank account, and Higlobe single owner and multi-owner company accounts cannot be used to withdraw payments to a bank account registered in the name of an individual.
